“The Generals Would Love a Parade and So Would I”

For a long term, anti-martyr and military-mindset guy such as myself,  this past year has been a heavy burden, a fighting against the tide,  symbolized most recently by the silly “military parade” the Boy Bully has requested. “The Generals would love it, and so would I,” he is quoted as saying.  Could be a line from a Woody Allen movie, before Woody Allen was shown to be something of a pervert.

I admit to being overwhelmed, and thus mostly unable to keep this website fresh and relevant, even when it’s needed most. Sorry friends. I think we’ve all felt that weight.

Nevertheless,  I’ve come back alive, at least for a while… am going to start again to rail against the failing of the light. The “martyr and military mindset” is a limited, unreal, unworkable, old millennium view of the of the world, Those who are still suffering under  a “martyr and military mindset”  can not see the wider reality, and thus, especially if they are in power, present a clear and present danger. We must counter such a mindset in any way we can, again and again.

My highest vision– hope– is that the martyr and military mindset is once again seemingly so prevalent on the world stage simply because it is in its last gasps, here in the evolution of human consciousness. This “us against them” worldview is making its last stand.

In the meantime, as the Nobel Laureate  and Russian dissident   Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn  once observed,  “Sometimes the last gesture of resistance is to refuse to applaud.”  In our case, it’s to refuse to parade. Refuse to watch. Refuse to applaud.

Here we go again…
